NEON GRUNGE

I’d been wanting to try shooting with a blue gel over my flash for a while, just to see what kind of mood it could create. Found the perfect opportunity when I met a young male model who was down for anything experimental. We decided to shoot in the basement of my building. Dim, raw, concrete walls, the kind of space that already feels like it has a story. The moment that blue light hit, the whole place transformed. We moved fast, trying different angles, playing with shadows, letting the vibe lead us. When I saw the images later, I was happy — they had that gritty, electric feel I’d been chasing.
